How do you manage screen time for yourself?
By SodakArtist
In a world where screens dominate nearly every aspect of life, finding harmony with digital tools becomes essential—especially when they serve as gateways to creativity, learning, and personal transformation. My approach to screen time isn’t about avoidance but intention. Each moment I’m “plugged in” is a chance to build something that aligns with my purpose and strengthens the path I’ve chosen as an artist, writer, and spiritual seeker. For me, it’s about making screens work for me, not letting them take control.
Every moment on screen is purposeful. Whether I’m in the photo studio analyzing shots, watching high-vibration content at home, or crafting beats, my screen time serves a higher purpose. It’s about creating, learning, and honing skills that propel my business and personal growth. I know what it means to struggle—I’ve been on the streets, and I’m determined never to go back. This sense of urgency drives my focus on productivity, making social distractions pale compared to the value of growth, both spiritually and creatively.
Creative energy surges when I’m immersed in hands-on projects like creating music or drawing. However, digital fatigue can creep in, especially when tasks become repetitive or I encounter creative blocks. To reset, I rely on grounding techniques, stretching, or mudras that I’ve built into my daily routine. Even a few minutes of mantras can re-align my energy, allowing me to return to my digital work with clarity. This balance keeps me centered and fully committed to my creative flow.
Building an online presence is essential, yet my journey toward self-discovery remains central. I separate creative time from engagement time, dedicating specific moments to interact with my audience, respond to comments, and share updates. Once that’s done, I shift back into creation mode, ensuring that my public presence doesn’t overshadow the internal work that fuels my artistic and spiritual evolution.
Technology is a powerful tool, but I don’t let it become a trap. I use apps that serve my goals—whether it’s editing, creating music, or building websites—and rituals like time blocks and meditative breaks to keep tech in check. Each of these tools supports my mission to create, grow, and align with my higher purpose.
Screen time for me is an investment in my future, but I understand the need for balance. The time I spend off-screen—whether creating art, meditating, or simply resting—recharges my energy. This balance keeps my creativity flowing and my spirit aligned, reminding me that true growth comes from both digital and unplugged experiences.
By setting boundaries with intention, I’m able to make screen time a powerful ally, empowering my growth without overshadowing my journey. Screens may be a part of my path, but the path is mine to navigate. And in choosing that path, I’ve found not just balance but a way to honor my highest potential in this digital age.
