What’s your home decoration style?
By: SodakArtist
When people think about home decorating, they usually imagine a specific style—modern, farmhouse, industrial, minimalist, or something pulled straight from a magazine.
Mine doesn’t really fit into any of those categories. If I had to describe it, I’d simply call it… me.
Almost every wall in my home is filled with my own paintings, drawings, and artwork. Instead of buying expensive decorations from a store, I surround myself with pieces I’ve created over the years. Every painting holds a memory, every drawing represents a moment in my life, and together they tell my story far better than anything mass-produced ever could.
The furniture reflects that same mindset. Rather than purchasing everything, I enjoy building many of my own pieces. Shelves, end tables, coffee tables—if I can create it myself, I’d rather do that. I like the warmth of rustic wood combined with artistic touches that make each piece one of a kind.
To me, a home shouldn’t look like everyone else’s.
It should reflect the person living inside it.
Walking through my home is almost like walking through a personal art gallery where every room showcases creativity, craftsmanship, and countless hours spent bringing ideas to life. It’s not about following trends or matching someone else’s definition of good design. It’s about creating a space that inspires me every single day.
My decorating style isn’t something you’ll find in a catalog.
It’s a blend of rustic woodworking, original artwork, imagination, and personality—a home that’s built, painted, and designed by the person who lives there.
And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I quite like your style of simple living and of finding comfort in the surroundings of the home.
